According to the INTERNATIONAL HERALD TRIBUNE the Bottled Water Sales in the US “reached 8.82 billion Gallons in the US”, which translates to $11.7 billion. The consumption almost tripled since 1990.

In his article “5 Reasons Not to Drink Bottled Water” Chris Baskind highlights that Aquafina and DaSani are basically filtered tap water, and therefore not a very good value.

What can you do?
Don’t buy bottled water, buy reusable bottles and fill it with tap water. My favorite bottles are from Sigg, which are about $20:
